                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the photographs on drivers'
     3     licenses.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1510(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1510.  Issuance and content of driver's license.
     9     (a)  General rule.--The department shall, upon payment of the
    10  required fee, issue to every qualified applicant a driver's
    11  license indicating the type or general class of vehicles the
    12  licensee is authorized to drive, which license shall contain the
    13  social security number of the licensee, the actual name, date of
    14  birth, residence address, a color photograph of the licensee,
    15  such other information as may be required by the department, and
    16  either a facsimile of the signature of the licensee or a space
    17  upon which the licensee shall write his usual signature with pen


     1  and ink. If the applicant is under 21 years of age at the time
     2  of application for a driver's license or renewal of a driver's
     3  license, the color photograph shall be a side profile view. If
     4  the applicant is 21 years of age or older at the time of
     5  application, the color photograph shall be a full front view.
     6  Personal medical data and other information for use in an
     7  emergency may be included as a part of the license. Information
     8  other than that required to identify the licensee, the
     9  distinguishing number and the class of license issued may be
    10  included in microdata form. No driver's license shall be valid
    11  until it has been signed by the licensee.
