AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation from a restricted revenue account within
2 the General Fund to the Office of Small Business Advocate in
3 the Department of Commerce; AND PROVIDING FOR THE INITIAL <--
4 ASSESSMENT.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $753,000 is hereby appropriated from
8 the restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the
9 Office of Small Business Advocate in the Department of Commerce
10 to provide for the operation of that office for the fiscal year
11 July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, and for repayment of the
12 $250,000 appropriated from the General Fund for the operation of
13 that office in the fiscal year ending June 30, 1989.
14 SECTION 2. DUE TO THE LACK OF ANY MEANINGFUL CASE DATA FOR <--
15 CALENDAR YEAR 1988 FOR THE OFFICE OF SMALL BUSINESS ADVOCATE,
16 THE PENNSYLVANIA PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION SHALL FOR PURPOSES OF
17 LEVYING THE PUBLIC UTILITY ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989-1990,
18 USE THE CASE DATA DERIVED FROM THE OFFICE OF CONSUMER ADVOCATE
1 FOR THE 1988 CALENDAR YEAR IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE ASSESSMENTS
2 FOR THE OFFICE OF SMALL BUSINESS ADVOCATE.
3 Section 2 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1989, or <--
4 immediately whichever is later.
