        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, FEBRUARY 4, 1987

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Memorializing Congress to study the possibility of erecting a
     2     memorial for the soldiers who served during the Korean War.

     3     WHEREAS, The men and women of the armed forces of the United
     4  States who served their country from June 25, 1950, to July 27,
     5  1953, during the Korean War should be properly honored; and
     6     WHEREAS, These soldiers who served with dedication and
     7  devotion deserve recognition, respect and honor; and
     8     WHEREAS, The erection of a memorial, by the Federal
     9  Government, to commemorate the soldiers who risked their lives
    10  and so bravely and patriotically served their country would be
    11  an appropriate tribute to these soldiers who fought during the
    12  Korean War; therefore be it
    13     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
    14  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urge the Congress of the United
    15  States to study the possibility of erecting a memorial for the


     1  soldiers who served during the Korean War; and be it further
     2     RESOLVED, That copies of this resoltuion be transmitted to
     3  the presiding officers of each house of Congress and to each
     4  member of Congress from Pennsylvania.
