                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, providing for electric service
     3     supplied to volunteer ambulance companies.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1511 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1511.  Electricity supplied to certain organizations.
     9     Any public utility company supplying electric service shall,
    10  upon application, permit a volunteer fire company, a volunteer
    11  ambulance company or a nonprofit senior citizen center to elect
    12  to have its electric service rendered pursuant to a rate
    13  schedule which provides equivalent charges for such service as
    14  residential rates upon execution of a contract for a minimum

     1  term of one year.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
