AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for exemption of entities and
3 vehicles from fees.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1901(c) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 1901. Exemption of entities and vehicles from fees.

10 (c) Processing fee in lieu of registration fee.--No
11 registration fee shall be charged for vehicles registered by any
12 of the following but the department shall charge a fee of $10 to
13 cover the costs of processing for issuing or renewing the
14 registration:

16 (20) Any vehicle which is owned by a nonprofit
17 organization and which is principally used to transport
18 persons who are residents of an institution owned and
1 operated on a nonprofit basis by such organization and who
2 are 65 years of age or older or who are mentally or
3 physically disabled, or both.

5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
