AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for the refund of the unused portion of
3 any collected license fee.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1951 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 1951. Driver's license and learner's permit.

10 (e) Refund of certain fees.--Whenever the department
11 collects more than one year's annual fee as set forth in
12 subsection (a), the department shall, within 30 days of the
13 receipt of a request, refund to the requestor the full year or
14 full years' portion of the unused fee whenever the requestor
15 surrenders the driver's license for purposes other than
16 violations of this title or Title 18 (relating to crimes and
17 offenses).
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
