AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for special registration plates for
3 members of the clergy.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1348. Special plates for clergy.
9 Upon application of a person who is a minister, priest or
10 rabbi of a regularly established church or congregation, the
11 department shall issue to such person a special registration
12 plate upon which shall appear the word "clergy." This special
13 registration plate may be used only on one passenger vehicle or
14 one other vehicle with a registered gross weight of not more
15 than 9,000 pounds.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
