AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting the possession and use of
3 certain electrical devices.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6163. Devices releasing charge of electricity.
9 (a) Offense defined.--A person commits an offense if he
10 possesses, sells, buys, conveys or uses any electrical or
11 electronic device designed to release a charge of electricity
12 into an animal or person, including, but not limited to, devices
13 commonly known as cattle prods and stun guns.
14 (b) Grading.--An offense under this section is a misdemeanor
15 of the second degree.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
