                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further regulating time of day
     3     electric rates.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 1512.  Electricity rates based on time of day.
     9     No utility providing electric service shall charge a
    10  ratepayer on the basis of the time of day when that service is
    11  provided unless the ratepayer has voluntarily requested that the
    12  utility charge that ratepayer on the basis of the time of day
    13  when the service is provided.
    14     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
