        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON STATE GOVERNMENT, JUNE 26, 1986

                                     AN ACT

     1  Establishing a toll-free telephone number operated by the
     2     Pennsylvania State Police to assist in locating missing
     3     persons; and making an appropriation.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6  Section 1.  Toll-free hotline.
     7     The Pennsylvania State Police shall maintain a toll-free
     8  telephone number which citizens of this Commonwealth may call to
     9  provide information on missing persons.
    10  Section 2.  Public awareness.
    11     The Pennsylvania State Police shall promote and advertise
    12  this number throughout this Commonwealth to ensure public
    13  awareness of its availability.
    14  Section 3.  Appropriation.
    15     The sum of $5,000 is hereby appropriated to the Pennsylvania

     1  State Police to carry out the provisions of this act.
     2  Section 4.  Effective date.
     3     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
