AN ACT
1 Amending the act of April 2, 1980 (P.L.63, No.26), entitled "An
2 act consolidating, revising and amending the divorce and
3 annulment laws of the Commonwealth and making certain
4 repeals," defining "increase in value."
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 104 of the act of April 2, 1980 (P.L.63,
8 No.26), known as the Divorce Code, is amended by adding a
9 definition to read:
10 Section 104. Definitions.
11 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
12 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
13 context clearly indicates otherwise:

15 "Increase in value." Any improvements, repairs and
16 maintenance due to efforts and contributions of both spouses.
17 The term shall not include inflation and increases in market
18 value.

2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
