AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for the inspection of new
3 vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4702(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4702. Requirement for periodic inspection of vehicles.
9 (a) Annual inspection.--Except as provided in subsection
10 (b), the department shall establish a system of annual
11 inspection of vehicles including emergency vehicles and private
12 noncommercial vehicles used to transport students. The system so
13 established shall provide a procedure whereby new vehicles
14 subject to annual inspection sold at retail for the first time
15 shall not be required to be inspected for at least nine months
16 following the date of sale.
