AN ACT
1 Prohibiting insurers from using certain points in calculating
2 premium rates for automobile insurance.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Use of certain points prohibited.
6 No insurer offering automobile insurance within this
7 Commonwealth shall calculate a premium rate using points
8 accumulated under 75 Pa.C.S. § 1535 (relating to schedule of
9 convictions and points) during any period other than one year
10 previous to the date the application for insurance is made, or
11 the date an insurance policy is renewed.
12 Section 2. Application of act.
13 This act shall apply to policies of automobile insurance
14 issued or renewed on and after the effective date hereof.
15 Section 3. Effective date.
16 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
