     9 "We Are the People"
    10 Verse 1
11 You have blessed us with mountains and valleys,
12 to reveal to us your majesty and power.
13 You can see, Oh God, we expect you
14 to give us a helping hand.
15 You have favored us with the Mountain Laurel flower,
16 and we are so grateful.
17 You can see, Oh God, we depend on you

1 to provide our daily need.
     2 Chorus
3 We are the people who need a helping hand.
4 We are the family who need your strength to stand.
5 We are the children who need a helping hand.
6 As life goes on we must try to get along.
7 You can see, Oh God, that we have a need.
8 We are the people, we are the people, oh yes.
9 We need a helping hand, someone to understand today.
    10 Verse 2
11 You have appointed us with the Hemlock tree
12 and we are so thankful.
13 You can see, Oh God, we believe
14 you will guide us in all our ways.
15 You have granted us with the Ruffed Grouse bird
16 and we are so delighted.
17 You can see, Oh God, without your help
    18 we limit ourselves.
    19 (Chorus)
    20 Verse 3
21 You have destined us with virtue and liberty,
22 and we are so appreciative.
23 You can see, Oh God, that our hope and trust
    24 is forever in Thee.
25 You have freshened our lakes and rivers
26 with the Brook Trout fish, and we are so obliged.
27 You can see, Oh God, we are gratified
28 by the resources that come from Thee.
