AN ACT 1 Making appropriations to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, 2 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $1,430,000 is hereby appropriated 6 to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, 7 Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1, 1985, to June 30, 8 1986, for instruction and for participation by a representative 9 of the institution, appointed by the Chief Executive Officer 10 thereof, as a member of the Pennsylvania Academic Commission on 11 Technological Development, a commission for inter-institutional 12 communication regarding technological innovation and development 13 and for dissemination of information on such matters to the 14 Pennsylvania business community and others who may use such 15 information for new business and job development in 16 Pennsylvania, such commission to be composed of representatives 17 of every State-owned or State-related educational or scientific
1 institution receiving General Fund assistance from the 2 Commonwealth. 3 (b) The sum of $200,000 is hereby appropriated to the 4 Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 5 for the fiscal year July 1, 1985, to June 30, 1986, for the Eye 6 Institute and External Clinical Services. 7 Section 2. Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry 8 on account of the appropriations provided in section 1 shall be 9 made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the basis of 10 costs during the fiscal year. 11 Section 3. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 12 provide such information and in such form and manner as the 13 Department of Education may prescribe. 14 Section 4. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 15 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 16 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 17 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 18 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without 19 exception. 20 Section 5.
