                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the expiration of new car
     3     registrations.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1307(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1307.  Period of registration.
     9     * * *
    10     (d)  Expiration of registration.--A registration shall expire
    11  on the last day of the month designated on the registration
    12  card. In the case of a new registration, it shall expire at the
    13  end of the same month of the next succeeding year from the year
    14  in which the vehicle was acquired.

    16     Section 2.  This act shall apply to new registrations issued
    17  on and after the effective date of this act.
    18     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
