AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, defining the crime of selling certain
3 knives to minors.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6313. Sale or lease of certain knives to minors.
9 (a) Offense defined.--A person commits a misdemeanor of the
10 third degree if he sells or leases or causes to be sold or
11 leased to a minor under 18 years of age a knife that is six
12 inches in length or longer without the express written
13 permission of a parent or guardian of the minor.
14 (b) Use of knife while hunting.--The provisions of
15 subsection (a) do not prohibit the use of any knife by a minor
16 under 18 years of age while hunting under the provisions of the
17 act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225, No.316), known as The Game Law.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
