                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Proclaiming October 15, 1984, as "CPCU Day" in Pennsylvania.

     2     WHEREAS, The property and liability insurance profession has
     3  played a major role in supporting and fostering the growth of
     4  the economy of Pennsylvania; and
     5     WHEREAS, The dynamic changes which characterize the growth of
     6  business and industry today in Pennsylvania demand that those
     7  who practice insurance here be highly skilled, knowledgeable in
     8  their particular specialties and upright in their dealings with
     9  our citizens; and
    10     WHEREAS, The adequate servicing of the insurance needs of our
    11  families and our businesses is becoming increasingly dependent
    12  upon the sound technical knowledge and personal integrity of
    13  those professionals in the insurance industry; and
    14     WHEREAS, Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters provide
    15  leadership to the industry and service in the public interest;
    16  and
    17     WHEREAS, The Society of Chartered Property and Casualty

     1  Underwriters (CPCU) has continued to guide the development of
     2  professional standards and goals of the industry for 40 years;
     3  therefore be it
     4     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
     5  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania does hereby proclaim October 15,
     6  1984, as "CPCU Day" in Pennsylvania in recognition of the 40th
     7  anniversary of the founding of the Society of Chartered Property
     8  and Casualty Underwriters.
