A RESOLUTION
1 Urging the Governor to proclaim Thursday, November 13, 1983 as
2 Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Day.
3 WHEREAS, Retired teachers deserve recognition for their many
4 years of dedicated service in our schools; and
5 WHEREAS, It would be appropriate to designate a specific day
6 as a day of recognition of our retired teachers; and
7 WHEREAS, A resolution has been introduced in Congress to
8 designate Thursday, November 13, 1983 as National Retired
9 Teachers Day; therefore be it
10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby urges the
11 Governor to proclaim Thursday, November 13, 1983 as Pennsylvania
12 Retired Teachers Day; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be immediately
14 transmitted to the Governor.
