        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, APRIL 6, 1983

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Directing the Speaker of the House of Representatives to appoint
     2     a special bipartisan committee to investigate all aspects of
     3     the food and cheese distribution.

     4     WHEREAS, There have been many published reports of abuses in
     5  the distribution of free cheese and other foods handled through
     6  the Department of Agriculture; therefore be it
     7     RESOLVED, That the Speaker of the House of Representatives
     8  appoint a special bipartisan committee comprised of seven
     9  members, four from the majority party and three from the
    10  minority party to investigate all aspects, including policies
    11  and practices, of the cheese and food distribution program
    12  conducted in the Commonwealth and supervised by the Department
    13  of Agriculture; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That the committee report its findings and
    15  recommendations to the House of Representatives within 90 days.
