                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for the establishment of senior citizen
     3     zones.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 3365 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 3365.  Special speed limitations.

    10     (b.1)  Senior citizen zones.--When passing a senior citizens'
    11  zone, no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 15
    12  miles per hour. An official traffic-control device shall
    13  indicate the beginning and end of each senior citizen zone to
    14  traffic approaching in each direction. Notwithstanding the
    15  provisions of section 6122 (relating to authority to erect
    16  traffic-control devices), establishment of a senior citizen
    17  zone, including its location and hours of operation, shall be

     1  determined by the local authorities of the municipality in which
     2  the senior citizen zone is located.
