AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for payment by
3 the Commonwealth of the salaries and benefits of the personal
4 staffs of common pleas judges.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 3544 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 3544. Disbursements.

11 (c) Exception.--Notwithstanding subsections (a) and (b), the
12 Commonwealth shall pay the salaries and benefits of the personal
13 staffs of judges of the courts of common pleas.
14 Section 2. This act shall apply to the fiscal year next
15 commencing after the effective date of this act and to each
16 fiscal year thereafter.
17 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
