AN ACT
1 Providing for the capital budget for the fiscal year 1983-1984.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Construction.
5 This act and its supplements shall constitute the Capital
6 Budget Act of 1983-1984 Fiscal Year. The provisions and
7 definitions of the act of July 20, 1968 (P.L.550, No.217), known
8 as the Capital Facilities Debt Enabling Act, unless inconsistent
9 herewith, shall apply.
10 Section 2. Overall limitations on debt to be incurred for
11 capital projects.
12 The maximum principal amount of additional debt to be
13 incurred hereafter during the 1983-1984 fiscal year and
14 thereafter, until the enactment of the 1984-1985 capital budget
15 specifying the maximum debt for the 1984-1985 fiscal year for
16 capital projects specifically itemized in a capital budget
17 pursuant to section 7(a)(4) of Article VIII of the Constitution
1 of Pennsylvania and the fund to be charged with the repayment of
2 such debt shall, with respect to each category of capital
3 projects, be as follows:

8 (a) Construction $150,000,000 General Fund or
9 (b) Furniture and 10,000,000 Special Fund as
10 Equipment applicable
11 (2) Transportation
12 Assistance Projects 65,000,000 General Fund
13 (3) Highways 100,000,000 Motor License
14 Fund
15 Total $325,000,000
16 Section 3. Effective date.
17 This act shall take effect immediately.
