                                     AN ACT

     1  Declaring and adopting the song "Pennsylvania," words and music
     2     by Gertrude Martin Rohrer, as the State song of the
     3     Commonwealth.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  The song "Pennsylvania," words and music by
     7  Gertrude Martin Rohrer, is hereby adopted as the State song of
     8  Pennsylvania and shall be the official song for all public
     9  purposes. The words of the song are as follows:
    10  Verse I
    11     Pennsylvania, my native state, to you we pledge our devotion;
    12     Pennsylvania, our loyalty is boundless as the ocean.
    13  Chorus:
    14     Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, strong and true,
    15     Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, hear our song to you;
    16     There is beauty in your mountains,
    17     There is peace upon your hills,
    18     And where'er I roam my only home is Pennsylvania.

     1  Verse II
     2     Pennsylvania, we thrill with pride to be your loyal
     3         descendants;
     4     Pennsylvania, all hail to you, the foundation of
     5         independence.
     6  Chorus:
     7     Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, strong and true,
     8     Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, hear our song to you;
     9     There is beauty in your mountains,
    10     There is peace upon your hills,
    11     And where'er I roam my only home is Pennsylvania.
    12     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
