AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, requiring the issuance of a receipt upon surrender
3 of a driver's license to the Department of Transportation.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1540(b) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1540. Surrender of license.

10 (b) Suspension OR REVOCATION of operating privilege.--Upon <--
11 the suspension OR REVOCATION of the operating privilege of any <--
12 person by the department, the department shall forthwith notify
13 the person in writing to surrender his driver's license to the
14 department for the term of suspension OR REVOCATION. Upon <--
15 surrender of the license, the department shall issue a receipt
16 showing the date that it received the license.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
