                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the transfer of a tract of land in Woodbury
     2     Township, Blair County, to the Blair County Historical
     3     Society, Inc.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  (a)  Pursuant to the requirements of subsection
     7  (b) of section 20 of the act of June 22, 1964 (Sp.Sess.,
     8  P.L.131, No.8), known as the Project 70 Land Acquisition and
     9  Borrowing Act, the General Assembly hereby authorizes the
    10  Pennsylvania Fish Commission, with the approval of the Governor,
    11  to grant and convey a certain tract of land situated in Woodbury
    12  Township, Blair County to the Blair County Historical Society,
    13  Inc., a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the
    14  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    15     (b)  Said land shall be free of restrictions on use and
    16  alienation prescribed by section 20 of the Project 70 Land
    17  Acquisition and Borrowing Act, upon the execution and filing of
    18  a document of release citing such transfer and release of the

     1  land conveyed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania
     2  Fish Commission, from the restrictions on use and alienation
     3  prescribed by subsection (b) of section 20 of said act. The
     4  document of release shall, upon such transfer, be prepared and
     5  filed in the office of the recorder of deeds of Blair County.
     6  The document of release shall additionally provide that the
     7  release is contingent upon the Blair County Historical Society
     8  maintaining and preserving the site as a site of historical
     9  significance.
    10     Section 2.  The land to be transferred by the Commonwealth of
    11  Pennsylvania, acting by and through the Pennsylvania Fish
    12  Commission, to the Blair County Historical Society, Inc. is more
    13  particularly described as follows:
    14     All that certain parcel of land with improvements erected
    15  thereon situate in the Township of Woodbury, Blair County,
    16  Pennsylvania, known as the Royer Mansion Tract, more fully
    17  bounded and described as follows, to wit:
    18     Beginning at an iron pin in the middle of Mill Lane at a
    19  common corner of lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
    20  now or formerly of Leroy M. Waite on the southern line of lands
    21  now or formerly of Edison Fry; thence and by the centerline of
    22  Mill Lane south 67 degrees 11 minutes east 475.00 feet, more or
    23  less, to a railroad spike set in the centerline of Route No.
    24  866; thence and by the centerline of Route No. 866 south 00
    25  degrees 59 minutes east 690.30 feet, more or less, to a point
    26  located north 00 degrees 59 minutes west 75 feet, more or less,
    27  from a railroad spike set in the centerline of the said Route
    28  No. 866; thence by lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    29  north 83 degrees 29 minutes 50 seconds west 260.00 feet, more or
    30  less, to a point; thence by the same south 54 degrees 07 minutes

     1  15 seconds west 236.56 feet, more or less, to a common corner of
     2  lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and lands now or
     3  formerly of Mike and Ruth Martin; thence by the common line of
     4  lands of the Commonwealth and now or formerly Mike and Ruth
     5  Martin north 00 degrees 22 minutes west 420.00 feet, more or
     6  less, to a point, the common corner of lands of the said Martin
     7  and now or formerly Leroy M. Waite; thence by the common line of
     8  the said Waite and the Commonwealth north 00 degrees 08 minutes
     9  east 758.45 feet, more or less, to the point and place of
    10  beginning.
    11     Containing 8.0 acres of land, more or less.
    12     Section 3.  The Deed of Conveyance shall contain a clause
    13  that the lands conveyed shall be used for historical
    14  preservation purposes by the Blair County Historical Society and
    15  if at any time the said Blair County Historical Society or its
    16  successor in function conveys said property or authorizes or
    17  permits said property to be used for any purpose other than for
    18  maintaining and preserving a site of historical significance,
    19  namely the so-called Royer Mansion, the title thereto shall
    20  immediately revert to and revest in the Commonwealth of
    21  Pennsylvania.
    22     Section 4.  Costs and fees incidental to the conveyance shall
    23  be borne by the grantee.
    24     Section 5.  The Deed of Conveyance shall be approved as
    25  provided by law and shall be executed by the Executive Director
    26  of the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in the name of the
    27  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Fish Commission.
    28     Section 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
