                                     AN ACT

     1  Making appropriations to the Hahnemann Medical College and
     2     Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  (a)  The sum of $3,366,000 is hereby specifically
     6  appropriated to the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia,
     7  Pennsylvania, for its fiscal period July 1, 1981 to June 30,
     8  1982, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program.
     9     (b)  The sum of $177,000 is hereby specifically appropriated
    10  to the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
    11  for its fiscal period July 1, 1981 to June 30, 1982, for the
    12  general maintenance of the Hahnemann Medical College including
    13  the Allied Health, Professions and Graduate School of the
    14  Hahnemann Medical College and student aid.
    15     Section 2.  Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College on
    16  account of the appropriation for instruction in the Doctor of
    17  Medicine program as provided in section 1(a) shall be made by


     1  the Secretary of Education on the basis of full-time student
     2  enrollment at the rate of $4,400 per student.
     3     Section 3.  Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College on
     4  account of the appropriation provided in section 1(b) shall be
     5  made by the Secretary of Education on the basis of costs during
     6  the fiscal year.
     7     Section 4.  The college shall provide such information as may
     8  be required to carry out the provisions of this act and in such
     9  form and manner as the Department of Education may prescribe.
    10     Section 5.  The Hahnemann Medical College shall report its
    11  revenues and expenditures and present its financial statements
    12  in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and
    13  procedures for educational institutions as set forth in the
    14  "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without exception.
    15     Section 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
