In the House of Representatives, April 27, 1982,
1 WHEREAS, Sirhan Sirhan, was tried and convicted of the murder
2 of Robert Kennedy; United States Senator, United States Attorney
3 General and American Statesman; and
4 WHEREAS, Sirhan Sirhan, is now being considered for parole
5 from prison in California; and
6 WHEREAS, Many Pennsylvanians oppose the release of Sirhan
7 Sirhan; and
8 WHEREAS, The District Attorney of Los Angeles is resisting
9 the release of Sirhan Sirhan from prison; therefore be it
10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
11 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania supports the District Attorney of
12 Los Angeles in resisting the release of Sirhan Sirhan from
13 prison by the California State Parole Board; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
15 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urges the District Attorney of Los
16 Angeles to continue to oppose the release of Sirhan Sirhan from
17 the penitentiary, and be it further
1 RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the House of
2 Representatives transmit copies of this resolution to the Los
3 Angeles District Attorney and the California State Parole Board.
