        INTRODUCED BY BROWN, WOZNIAK, MRKONIC, MORRIS, JACKSON, RIEGER,
           PRATT AND SALVATORE, FEBRUARY 2, 1981

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON FEDERAL-STATE RELATIONS,
           FEBRUARY 2, 1981

                        In the House of Representatives, January 2, 1981

     1     WHEREAS, Fifty-two American hostages were tortured and
     2  treated cruelly, both physically and psychologically by Iran
     3  during their ordeal of captivity.
     4     WHEREAS, This Nation should not be a party to any arrangement
     5  whereby military assistance is given to the ruling regime in
     6  Iran; therefore be it
     7     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
     8  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania memorializes President Ronald
     9  Reagan and Congress to give no more military aid to Iran; and be
    10  it further
    11     RESOLVED, That this action be taken to honor the 52 hostages
    12  and the eight servicemen who died in the aborted attempt to
    13  rescue them; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    15  the President of the United States, the presiding officer of
    16  each House of Congress and to each Senator and member of the


     1  House of Representatives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
