                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, providing for the carrying of
     3     concealed firearms by private detectives.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Subsection (b) of section 6106 of Title 18, act
     7  of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the
     8  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statute, is amended by adding a
     9  paragraph to read:
    10  § 6106.  Firearms not to be carried without a license.

    12     (b)  Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) of this
    13  section shall not apply to:

    15         (11)  Private detectives.

    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
