AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, authorizing local authorities to delegate certain
3 police powers to a parking authority.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6109 of Title 75, act of November 25,
7 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 6109. Specific powers of department and local authorities.

11 (f) Delegation of powers authorized.--Nothing contained in
12 this section shall be deemed to prevent local authorities by
13 ordinance or resolution of the local governing body from
14 delegating their powers under subsection (a)(1) or (22) to a
15 parking authority established pursuant to the act of June 5,
16 1947 (P.L.458, No.208), known as the "Parking Authority Law."
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
