                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for incest.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 4302 of Title 18, act of November 25,
     6  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes, is amended to read:
     8  § 4302.  Incest.
     9     A person is guilty of incest, a misdemeanor of the first
    10  degree, if he knowingly marries or cohabits or has sexual
    11  intercourse with an ancestor or descendant, a brother or sister
    12  of the whole or half blood [or], an uncle, aunt, nephew or niece
    13  of the whole blood or a stepson or stepdaughter. The
    14  relationships referred to in this section include blood
    15  relationships without regard to legitimacy, [and] the
    16  relationship of parent and child by adoption and the
    17  relationship between a person and the child of a spouse by a

     1  former marriage.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days and shall
     3  apply to offenses committed on and after such date.
