AN ACT
1 Authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
2 approval of the State Armory Board, the Department of
3 Military Affairs and the Governor to grant and convey to the
4 City of Philadelphia an easement and right-of-way in and over
5 certain land in the City of Philadelphia.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. It is the purpose of this act to grant to the
9 City of Philadelphia an easement and right-of-way in and over
10 certain land used as an armory by the Pennsylvania National
11 Guard to allow and provide for the construction of water and
12 sewer lines.
13 Section 2. The Department of General Services, with the
14 approval of the State Armory Board, the Department of Military
15 Affairs and the Governor, is hereby authorized on behalf of the
16 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for a consideration of $10,000 to
17 grant and convey to the City of Philadelphia an easement and
18 right-of-way, to be used solely to allow and provide for the
19 construction and maintenance to water and sewer lines, in
1 certain land situate in the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
2 bounded and described as follows:
3 Beginning at the interior point, said point being measured by
4 the two following courses and distances from a point of tangency
5 on the southeasterly side of the Roosevelt Boulevard 254 feet
6 wide, said point of tangency being the southwesterly end of a
7 curve which connects with southeasterly side of the said
8 Roosevelt Boulevard with the southwesterly side of Southampton-
9 Byberry Road 70 feet wide having a radius of 25 feet, the arc
10 distance of 41.029 feet and thence south 48 degrees 05 minutes
11 49 seconds west along the southeasterly side of the said
12 Roosevelt Boulevard a distance of 640 feet to a point; thence
13 south 41 degrees 54 minutes 11 seconds east, crossing a 90 foot
14 wide Greenbelt, a distance of 90 feet to a point which is the
15 point of beginning of this right-of-way, thence continuing south
16 41 degrees 54 minutes 11 seconds east, a distance of 30 feet to
17 a point; thence south 28 degrees 33 minutes 16 seconds west, a
18 distance of 418.526 feet to a point, thence south 26 degrees 00
19 feet 53 seconds east, a distance of 483,592 feet to a point,
20 thence south 00 degrees 29 minutes 00 seconds east, a distance
21 of 180 feet to a point of curve on the northwesterly side of
22 Black Lake Road 70 feet wide; thence, southwestwardly, along the
23 northwesterly side of said Black Lake Road on a line curving to
24 the left, having a radius of 800 feet, the arc distance of
25 100.263 feet to a point; thence north 00 degrees 29 minutes 00
26 seconds west, a distance of 163.619 feet to a point; thence
27 north 26 degrees 00 minutes 53 seconds west, a distance of
28 609.225 minutes to a point on the southeasterly side of the said
29 Greenbelt; thence north 48 degrees 05 minutes 48 seconds east,
30 along the southeasterly side of said Greenbelt a distance of 450

1 feet to the point of beginning.
2 Section 3. (a) The deed conveying the interest in the land
3 from the Department of General Services to the City of
4 Philadelphia shall be approved as provided by law.
5 (b) Costs and fees related to the preparation and
6 recordation of this property interest shall be borne by the
7 grantee.
8 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
