AN ACT
1 Requiring the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police to
2 hire AND PROMOTE persons without regard to race, religion, <--
3 sex or imposed "quota systems."
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. (a) Notwithstanding any provision of any law
7 decree or order to the contrary, the Commissioner of the State
8 Police shall hire, or employ OR PROMOTE persons without regard <--
9 to race, religion, sex or any type of "quota system."
10 (b) All persons hired OR PROMOTED by the State Police after <--
11 the effective date of this act shall be selected solely on the
12 basis of merit and qualifications.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
