AN ACT 1 Amending the act of June 22, 1931 (P.L.594, No.203), entitled 2 "An act establishing certain township roads as State 3 highways; authorizing their construction, maintenance, and 4 improvement under certain conditions and restrictions; 5 limiting the obligation of the Commonwealth in the 6 construction of certain structures located on such highways; 7 conferring certain powers upon the Department of Highways and 8 local authorities, persons, associations and corporations for 9 sharing the cost of the maintenance and construction of such 10 highways; and making an appropriation to carry out the 11 provisions of said act," amending and deleting routes in 12 Luzerne County. 13 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 14 hereby enacts as follows: 15 Section 1. As much of section 41 as relates to Routes 40011 16 and 40012 act of June 22, 1931 (P.L.594, No.203), referred to as 17 the Township State Highway Law, are deleted as follows: 18 Section 41. The township roads to be taken over, under the 19 provisions of this act, in the COUNTY OF LUZERNE, are those 20 situate and described as follows: 21 * * * 22 [Route 40011. Beginning a point on the division line between
1 Columbia and Luzerne Counties approximately 2.7 miles north of 2 Schuylkill County line; thence easterly through Black Creek 3 Township; thence southeasterly through Black Creek Township to a 4 point, where it intersects Route 40010 at Mountain Grove in 5 Black Creek Township, in Luzerne County, a distance of about 1.1 6 miles.] 7 Route 40012. Beginning at a point on [Route 40010 8 approximately 1.75 miles east of the Columbia County line; 9 thence northerly through Black Creek Township; thence easterly 10 through Black Creek Township intersecting Route 40015; thence 11 easterly through Black Creek and Sugar Loaf Townships] the Black 12 Creek - Sugar Loaf Township line approximately 1.2 miles south 13 of the Nescopeck Township Line; thence easterly through 14 Sugarloaf Township crossing State Highway Route 184; thence 15 through Sugar Loaf and Butler Townships crossing county road at 16 St. Johns, in Butler Township; thence easterly through Butler 17 Township crossing Route 40013; thence easterly through Butler 18 Township to a point, where it intersects State Highway Route 170 19 approximately 2.6 miles south of Nescopeck Pass Station, in 20 Luzerne County, a distance of about [15.8] 7.4 miles. 21 * * * 22 Section 2.
