                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 1, 1956 (1955 P.L.1959, No.657),
     2     entitled, as amended, "An act fixing the salaries and
     3     compensation of the Chief Justice and judges of the Supreme
     4     Court, the President Judge and judges of the Superior Court,
     5     the judges of the courts of common pleas, the judges of the
     6     orphans' courts, the judges of the County Court of
     7     Philadelphia and the judges of the County Court and Juvenile
     8     Court of Allegheny County, certain associate judges not
     9     learned in the law, certain state officers and the salary and
    10     expenses of the members of the General Assembly, and
    11     repealing certain inconsistent acts," further providing for
    12     the salary of the President Judge and associate judges of the
    13     Philadelphia Municipal Court.

    14     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    15  hereby enacts as follows:
    16     Section 1.  Section 4.1, act of June 1, 1956 (1955 P.L.1959,
    17  No.657), referred to as the Public Official Compensation Law,
    18  amended October 25, 1979 (P.L.235, No.75), is amended to read:
    19     Section 4.1.  The President Judge of the Philadelphia
    20  Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary of [fifty
    21  thousand five hundred dollars ($50,500)] fifty-seven thousand
    22  five hundred dollars ($57,500). The annual salary of associate
    23  judges of the Philadelphia Municipal Court shall be [forty-nine

     1  thousand dollars ($49,000)] fifty-five thousand dollars
     2  ($55,000) for members of the bar and twenty-one thousand dollars
     3  ($21,000) for judges who are not members of the bar.
     4     Section 2.  This act shall take effect when permitted by the
     5  Constitution of Pennsylvania.
