                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for certification of portable
     3     scales.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 4981(e) of Title 75, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, added October 10, 1980 (No.147), is amended to read:
     9  § 4981.  Weighing and measurement of vehicles.
    10     * * *
    11     (e)  Calibration of portable scales.--Portable scales shall
    12  be calibrated [every 30 days] annually for the purpose of
    13  certification and accuracy by the Department of Agriculture.
    14     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
