AN ACT 1 Amending the act of April 28, 1978 (P.L.202, No.53), entitled "A 2 supplement to the act of July 9, 1976 (P.L.586, No.142), 3 entitled 'An act amending Titles 42 (Judiciary and Judicial 4 Procedure), 15 (Corporations and Unincorporated Associations, 5 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and 71 (State Government) of the 6 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding revised, codified 7 and compiled provisions relating to judiciary and judicial 8 procedure, including certain judicially enforceable rights, 9 duties, immunities and liabilities and separately enacting 10 certain related provisions of law,' making revisions, 11 corrections and additions relating to judiciary and judicial 12 procedure, including certain judicially enforceable rights, 13 duties, immunities and liabilities, adding certain provisions 14 of existing law to and making conforming and editorial 15 changes in certain provisions of the Pennsylvania 16 Consolidated Statutes, fixing the general effective date of 17 the act as supplemented hereby and repealing certain acts and 18 parts of acts supplied by the act as supplemented hereby or 19 by other acts or otherwise obsolete," further delaying the 20 effective date of a repeal of provisions relating to post 21 conviction hearings. 22 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 23 hereby enacts as follows: 24 Section 1. As much as relates to the act of January 25, 1966 25 (1965 P.L.1580, No.554), known as the "Post Conviction Hearing 26 Act," in section 2 (a), act of April 28, 1978 (P.L.202, No.53), 27 known as the "Judiciary Act Repealer Act," amended June 26, 1980
1 (No.77), is amended to read:
2 Section 2. Repeals.--(a) Except as otherwise expressly
3 provided in this subsection, the following acts and parts of
4 acts are hereby repealed absolutely:

6 Act of January 25, 1966 (1965 P.L.1580, No.554), known as the
7 "Post Conviction Hearing Act," except for section 11 which was
8 repealed effective June 27, 1978, the remaining provisions of
9 the act are repealed effective June 27, [1981] 1983.

11 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. If this
12 act is enacted subsequent to June 27, 1981, it shall be
13 retroactive to June 27, 1981.
