AN ACT
1 Providing for lunch periods.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Definitions.
5 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
6 have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the
7 meanings given to them in this section:
8 "Employer." Any person giving employment within the
9 Commonwealth.
10 Section 2. Required lunch period.
11 An employer shall provide a minimum of 30 minutes to a
12 maximum of one hour during the period of 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
13 for the purpose of providing a lunch period.
14 Section 3. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect immediately.
