AN ACT
1 Amending the act of April 18, 1929 (P.L.612, No.253), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act for the election of the mayor, members of
3 town council, and auditors, in incorporated towns of the
4 Commonwealth; regulating the manner of voting for such
5 officers, and repealing inconsistent general, local and
6 special laws," providing for the publication of audit
7 summaries.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 4, act of April 18, 1929 (P.L.612,
11 No.253), entitled, as amended, "An act for the election of the
12 mayor, members of town council, and auditors, in incorporated
13 towns of the Commonwealth; regulating the manner of voting for
14 such officers, and repealing inconsistent general, local and
15 special laws," is amended by adding a subsection to read:
16 Section 4. * * *
17 (e) Whenever any town has provided by ordinance for the
18 audit of its accounts a concise summary of the audit report
19 shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation within
20 the town.
1 Section 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith
2 are hereby repealed to the extent of the inconsistency.
3 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
