AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of
2 Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $863,000, or as much thereof as may be
6 necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
7 Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
8 for its fiscal period July 1, 1980 to June 30, 1981, for
9 instruction.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry
11 on account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be
12 made by the Secretary of Education on the basis of costs during
13 the fiscal period.
14 Section 3. The college shall provide such information and in
15 such form and manner as the Department of Education may
16 prescribe.
17 Section 4. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall
1 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial
2 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting
3 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set
4 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without
5 exception.
6 Section 5. All sums of money paid to the Pennsylvania
7 College of Optometry pursuant to the appropriation of the act of
8 July 11, 1980 (No.41A), entitled "An act making an appropriation
9 to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia,
10 Pennsylvania," shall be credited toward and deducted from the
11 amount appropriated in this act.
12 Section 6. The act of July 11, 1980 (No.41A), entitled "An
13 act making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of
14 Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania," is repealed.
15 Section 7. This act shall take effect immediately.
