In the House of Representatives, December 4, 1979 1 WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Convention-Exposition Center was 2 originally scheduled for completion in February, 1980; and 3 WHEREAS, The Convention Center is now tentatively scheduled 4 to open at the end of 1980; and 5 WHEREAS, There have been numerous allegations and charges 6 regarding the reasons for the delay in completing this much 7 needed facility; and 8 WHEREAS, Significant State funding is involved in the 9 construction of this project; and 10 WHEREAS, The delays in construction will result in a very 11 significant loss of revenue for the City of Pittsburgh and its 12 citizens; therefore be it 13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives directs the 14 Subcommittee on Second Class Cities of the House Standing 15 Committee on Urban Affairs to conduct a thorough investigation 16 of the delays in the construction of the Pittsburgh Convention-
