                                     AN ACT

     1  Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Hahnemann Medical
     2     College and Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  (a)  The sum of $3,366,000, or as much thereof as
     6  may be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
     7  Trustees of the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia,
     8  Pennsylvania, for its fiscal period July 1, 1980 to June 30,
     9  1981, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program.
    10     (b)  The sum of $177,000, or as much thereof as may be
    11  necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Trustees
    12  of the Hahnemann Medical College for its fiscal period July 1,
    13  1980 to June 30, 1981, for instruction in the Allied Health,
    14  Professions and Graduate School of the Hahnemann Medical College
    15  and student aid.
    16     Section 2.  Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College on
    17  account of the appropriation for instruction in the Doctor of


     1  Medicine program as provided in section 1(a) shall be made by
     2  the Secretary of Education on the basis of full-time student
     3  enrollment at the rate of $4,400 per student.
     4     Section 3.  Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College on
     5  account of the appropriation provided in 1(b) shall be made by
     6  the Secretary of Education on the basis of costs during the
     7  fiscal year.
     8     Section 4.  The college shall provide such information as may
     9  be required to carry out the provisions of this act and in such
    10  form and manner as the Department of Education may prescribe.
    11     Section 5.  The Hahnemann Medical College shall report its
    12  revenues and expenditures and present its financial statements
    13  in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and
    14  procedures for educational institutions as set forth in the
    15  "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without exception.
    16     Section 6.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1980.
