AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing distinctive registration plates for
3 holders of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
8 amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 1342.1. Congressional Medal of Honor plate.
10 The department shall issue an appropriate distinctive
11 registration plate to any person who has been awarded the
12 Congressional Medal of Honor. The department shall require
13 adequate documentation of the award to be submitted with the
14 application for the plate. This plate shall be used only on one
15 passenger vehicle or one other vehicle of a registered gross
16 weight not exceeding 9,000 pounds. No fee shall be charged for
17 this plate.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
