AN ACT
1 Requiring that certain information be conspicuously displayed in
2 nursing homes.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. As used in this act, "nursing home" means any
6 premises operated for profit in which nursing care and related
7 medical or other health services are provided, for a period
8 exceeding 24 hours, for two or more individuals, who are not
9 relatives of the operator, who are not acutely ill and not in
10 need of hospitalization, but who, because of age, illness,
11 disease, injury, convalescence or physical or mental infirmity
12 need such care.
13 Section 2. There shall be displayed in a conspicuous
14 location in every nursing home a notice which shall contain
15 information regarding the services provided by the Governor's
16 Action Center together with the toll-free telephone number of
17 such center.
1 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
