                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
     2     Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
     3     limitations on summary offenses involving vehicles.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 5553(e) of Title 42, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, is amended to read:
     9  § 5553.  Summary offenses involving vehicles.
    10     * * *
    11     (e)  Disposition of proceedings within two years.--No
    12  proceedings shall be held or action taken pursuant to a summary
    13  offense under Title 75 subsequent to two years after the
    14  commission of the offense. Nothing in this subsection shall
    15  limit the authority and right of the district justice to enforce
    16  a sentence entered within two years.
    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
