AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, by providing for a
3 poundage fee for prothonotaries and clerks of court in
4 certain instances.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Title 42, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
8 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
9 amended by adding a section to read:
10 § 3562. Poundage fee on accrued interest.
11 All accrued interest earned on moneys paid into court shall
12 be paid to the county treasurer as the case may be for the use
13 of the city or county unless the court shall direct otherwise.
14 When the court directs that the interest be paid otherwise, the
15 prothonotary and clerk of courts shall then be entitled to a
16 poundage fee of 2% of the interest payable to the county
17 treasurer.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
