AN ACT
1 Authorizing the City of Easton in the County of Northampton and
2 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to sell and convey certain
3 Project 70 lands in said city and county belonging to the
4 City of Easton subject to certain conditions.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Pursuant to the requirements of subsection (b) of
8 section 20, act of June 22, 1964 (Sp.Sess. P.L.131, No.8), known
9 as the "Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act," the
10 General Assembly hereby authorizes the City of Easton to sell
11 and convey a certain tract of land situated in the City of
12 Easton, County of Northampton and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
13 for and in consideration of the sum of $300.
14 Said land shall be free of restrictions on use and alienation
15 prescribed by section 20 of the "Project 70 Land Acquisition and
16 Borrowing Act," upon:
17 (1) the payment of said sum of $300 into the Project 70
18 Land Acquisition Sinking Fund; and
19 (2) the execution and filing of a document of release
1 citing such transfer and release of the land conveyed by the
2 City of Easton from the restrictions on use and alienation
3 prescribed by subsection (b) of section 20 of said act. The
4 document of release shall, upon such transfer, be prepared
5 and filed in the office of the recorder of deeds of the
6 county in which the said land is located.
7 Section 2. The land to be transferred by the City of Easton,
8 situated in said city in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, is
9 more particularly described as follows:
10 All that triangular shaped piece of land lying east of the
11 intersection of Old Philadelphia Road and Williams Street.
12 Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of
13 the southern right-of-way line of Old Philadelphia Road with the
14 northern right-of-way of Williams Street. Thence in a
15 northeasterly direction, north 61 degrees 17 minutes east, 103
16 feet more or less to a point, thence in a southerly direction,
17 south 2 degrees 15 minutes east, 51 feet more or less to a point
18 in the northern right-of-way line of Williams Street, thence
19 along the northern right-of-way line of Williams Street in a
20 westerly direction, north 88 degrees 40 minutes west, 88 feet
21 more or less to the place of beginning.
22 Being a parcel of land made up of lands deeded to the city
23 from a portion of land deeded from Julia Segat (290-566 Dtd.3-
24 23-67).
25 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
