AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
2 act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
3 welfare laws of the Commonwealth," providing an additional
4 State supplement for certain blind persons.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), known
8 as the "Public Welfare Code," is amended by adding a section to
9 read:
10 Section 511.1. Special State Blind Supplement.--Any blind
11 person who receives Federal supplementary security income (SSI)
12 payments shall, in addition to such payments and any other State
13 payments or supplements, be eligible to receive an additional
14 special State supplement for the blind of one hundred dollars
15 ($100) per month. And that subsequent increases be given in
16 accordance with the percentage increases in the Federal SSI
17 standard payment amount.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
