                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 31, 1978 (No.16A) entitled "An act to     <--
     2     provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative and
     3     Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt and
     4     for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1978 to
     5     June 30, 1979, and for the payment of bills incurred and
     6     remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending
     7     June 30, 1978," to provide for certain deficiency
     8     appropriations and additional appropriations to the several
     9     departments and agencies of the Commonwealth.
    10  TO FURTHER PROVIDE FOR THE EXPENSES OF THE EXECUTIVE AND          <--
    11     JUDICIAL DEPARTMENTS OF THE COMMONWEALTH FOR THE FISCAL
    12     PERIOD JULY 1, 1978 TO JUNE 30, 1979, AND TO MAKE ADDITIONAL
    13     APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE FEDERAL AUGMENTATION TO THE EXECUTIVE
    14     DEPARTMENT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD JULY 1, 1978 TO JUNE 30,
    15     1979.

    16     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    17  hereby enacts as follows:
    18     Section 1.  As much of section 2, act of May 31, 1978          <--
    19  (No.16A), known as the "General Appropriation Act of 1978," as
    20  relates to the hereinafter identified appropriations to the
    21  Auditor General, Treasury Department, Department of Agriculture,
    22  Department of Environmental Resources, Department of General
    23  Services, Department of Justice, Department of Military Affairs,
    24  Board of Probation and Parole, Department of Public Welfare,


     1  Department of Revenue and the Department of State, the
     2  appropriations to the Department of Justice for Civil Law and
     3  the Department of Public Welfare for county administration
     4  supplemented March 7, 1979 (No.1A), are amended, and an
     5  appropriation is added to the Department of General Services as
     6  follows:
     7     SECTION 1.  THIS ACT SHALL BE KNOWN AND MAY BE CITED AS THE    <--
     8  "SECOND SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION ACT OF 1978."
     9     Section 2.  The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
    10  necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the General
    11  Fund to the several hereinafter named agencies of the Executive,  <--
    12  Legislative and Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth for the
    13  payment of the salaries, wages or other compensation and travel
    14  expense of the duly elected or appointed officers and employees
    15  of the Commonwealth, for payment of fees of contractual services
    16  rendered, for the purchase of rental of goods, services,
    17  printing, equipment, land and buildings and for payment of any
    18  other expenses, as provided by law or by this act, necessary for
    19  the proper conduct of the duties, functions and activities and
    20  for the purposes hereinafter set forth for the fiscal period
    21  beginning July 1, 1978 and for the payment of bills incurred and
    22  remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending June
    23  30, 1978.

     8  CLOSE OF THE FISCAL PERIOD ENDING JUNE 30, 1978," OR THE ACT OF
     9  MARCH 7, 1979 (NO.1A), ENTITLED "AN ACT TO FURTHER PROVIDE FOR

    19  INSOFAR AS IT IS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH.
    20     THE ACT OF JULY 1, 1978 (NO.56A), KNOWN AS THE "FEDERAL
    21  AUGMENTATION APPROPRIATION ACT OF 1978," AS AMENDED, IS REPEALED
    22  INSOFAR AS IT IS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH.
    23     THE ACT OF MARCH 7, 1979 (NO.1A), KNOWN AS THE "SUPPLEMENTAL
    24  APPROPRIATION ACT OF 1978," IS REPEALED INSOFAR AS IT IS
    25  INCONSISTENT HEREWITH.
    26     Section 3. 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.         <--
